Isobel Sheppard was 12 years old when she was diagnosed with a synovial sarcoma (rare cancer) in 2020. She had 6 rounds of chemotherapy and surgery to remove the cancerous tumour in her groin. To remove the tumour it was necessary to amputate her entire right leg.
On 15th October 2022 Isobel had a stroke - the cancer had returned. The cancer had spread (metastasized) to her brain, lungs and multiple other locations, and had been missed on her surveillance x-rays. On 14th December 2022 Isobel passed away at West Suffolk Hospital.
“We have set up this site in memory of our beautiful daughter to continue her efforts in raising funds as well as raising awareness of synovial sarcoma. Nothing will bring our daughter back, but we hope to be able to help those who will be affected by sarcoma in the future, so maybe one day they wont have to endure what our daughter did.” Sam & Elliott (Isobel’s Mum and Dad)
All money raised will go to the Isobel Sheppard Legacy Fund raising money for Sarcoma UK.
